At PalazzoVersace.ae, prospective buyers of swanky condos can check out the fact sheet on the 169 residences, two of which will be 6-bedrooms spreads, and satisfy their curiosity over exactly how many parking spaces will be allotted to each condo (two for a 1-3 bedrooms and three spots for 4-6 bedrooms). For hotel mavens like ourselves, however, the updated construction images from January through February of 2009 shed a light on more than just the location of the project but what kind of structure will actually be encased within the eventual stucco and decorative Versace moldings.
As for the 215 hotel rooms, 16 of which are being called "Attic Suites," they will be outfitted not by an in-house Versace design team, but by Depa, a firm that reigns superior in Dubai for having outfitted the Burj Al Arab, Emirates Palace and Atlantis. Adding to the uber-luxury of the refrigerated beach will be private roof-top pools for the condominiums, a "scuba lagoon" with simulated tropical marine environment, and yacht slips, of course.
While we'd be more than game to have any of these perks within easy reach, we wonder if the magic will be sucked out of this property by having everything man-made and dialed to your particular comfort level. But then, the Palazzo Versace isn't exactly targeting guests looking to get "back to nature" or have much of an exotic vacation, just those who desire a premium of comfort and luxury.
