The Five Best Spring Break Hotels for Adults

March 11, 2009 at 1:01 PM | by | Comment (1)

It's March and the long, hard winter is almost done,
And you're ready to take a vacay for a little bit of fun.
You'd love some sun, a margarita, and maybe a shot of Maker's,
But you don't want to share your hotel with college Spring breakers.

You need to let loose from your full-time jobs as Dad and Mom —
And you don't want to end up stepping in some frat boy's vom.
So we've put together a handy guide for you to consult:
Here are the Five Best Spring Break Hotels for Adults.

Four Seasons Miami: The underage crowd will be headed to Mexico or Montreal; the 20-somethings wouldn't dream of going near the Four Seasons. The Four Seasons Miami is offering a package especially "for those nostalgic for the long-gone days of Spring Break but with tastes leaning toward mojitos instead of beer bongs" (ha!): the Miami Nice package will give you a rate of $299 per night (for a minimum of two nights), plus a make-your-own mojito welcome kit and a "personalized party itinerary" created by the in-house Nightlife Concierge.
1435 Brickell Ave; Miami, FL, 33131.

Fairmont Sonoma Mission: Perhaps you're more into wine than the ol' Coronas and margaritas? Why don't you hit up Sonoma Wine Country in the the same way a pro sommelier might? Fairmont Sonoma Mission has teamed up with the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers for the three-night Sonoma Valley Sommelier Experience Package, which includes exclusive winery tours, tastings and seminars with "some of the country’s leading sommeliers" — plus special receptions, lunches, dinners and daily breakfast. April 5-8; starting at $1250 for three nights double occupancy.
100 Boyes Blvd; Boyes Hot Springs, CA, 95416.

New York, New York: Yeah, the college kids will certainly be in and around Vegas — but that doesn't mean you can't grab the whole fam and take advantage of the dirt-cheap Vegas rates too. Right now, you can score the Spring Break Family Escape Package at New York-New York (or Monte Carlo) to get two-for-one tickets to Lance Burton's magic show, free pizza at Nathan's, two-for-one inner tube rentals for the pool at Monte Carlo and two-for-one passes to The Roller Coaster at New York-New York for less than 60 bucks. Valid March 9 through April 12. Rates start at $59.
Address: 3790 Las Vegas Blvd; Las Vegas, NV, 89109.

W New Orleans French Quarter: Mardi Gras is over, and the city isn't quite as crazy and hectic as it was last month — why not head to NOLA and hit up the W in the French Quarter? Kick it by the pool, have some drinks...and if you book your trip 30 days out, you can get up to 20% off (though rooms are running from a pretty decent $139 on Quikbook right now).
Address: 316 Chartres St; New Orleans, LA, 70130.

Hilton London Tower Bridge: The New York Times recently dropped by this new Hilton and gave it the ol' thumbs up. This spot is good for tourists and not too frilly if what you're looking for is some good ol' London excursion fun: it's near the Tower Bridge (obvs) and in walking distance to the Globe Theatre and the Tower of London; the London Eye is a mile away. Booking the UK Spring Break promo will score you rate kickbacks and, if you're lucky, a 6 p.m. late checkout, too. Rooms start around $275 USD.
Address: 5 More London Place Tooley St; London, UK, SE1 2BY.
