Starwood Suckers Shaq into Speaking Engagement

Tweeple, it's Twitter time: the hotel Twitterverse has been hoppin' this week. Even if you're keeping up with the HotelChatter Twitter (and if you're not, you should be), there's a whole lot else flying around and it's been hard to catch it all — especially when when you've had to pay attention to other silly things during the day like, you know, your jobs. We've got your back: we've rounded up some of the best hotel Tweets from the week.

· Shaq vs. Starwood: Did you know Shaq has a Twitter? It's pretty epic — and this week, he writes this somewhat disgruntled Tweet to Starwood Hotels after ostensibly being coaxed into giving an impromptu speech or meet-and-greet (something tells us Shaq has a hard time keeping a low profile when he goes anywhere): "Im at a hotel i got tricked to speak 2 a thousand people, u welcome starwood resorts." · NYC Tweetup: There's a Tweetup in NYC this evening at 6:00 pm at the Emery Bar inside the Benjamin Hotel (a Tweetup is a meetup — and yes, it's been our experience that Tweetups are actually super cool and fun). [shdnyc]

· George Clooney at the Beverly Hills Hotel: Ooooh, George Clooney was at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend! And we missed it. Ugh. [priscillarios]

· Oh She's Just Bein' Miley: Brace yourselves: we seem to have found Miley Cyrus' Twitter. It looks like she's replying to every single Tweet people send her way — which is adorable — but the only thing of interest we found was this: "Vanessa hudgens sent me a picture message last night i just opened it n its her and zac n japan making goofy faces n there hotel lol."
