It's best to cast suspicion aside when paying 1/100th of a dollar at promises like "5-star sleeping experience at 1-star prices." A power shower, cleanliness and safety pass muster for penny pricing in our book, although--and excuse the snob in us--but who in their privileged or non-privileged mind thinks 250-thread count is luxe? (Isn't a lower thread count just glorified toilet paper?)
If anyone takes the financial risk and stays in a Tune Hotel, please tell us how the pay-as-you-use system of add-ons such as air-conditioning, laundered towels and any other energy-consuming facilities and amenities pan out bill-wise. The jaded in us wonders if they are at all like New York City's hidden costs.
