Just when we thought our prayers had been answered and that upscale fleabag motel, New York's Hotel Pennsylvania, would be closing, they've gone and announced an irresistible deal (if you fit the conditions, that is). NewYorkology lets us know that in honor of its history, the 90-year-old Hotel Penn is offering its rooms at the jazz-age rate of $11 a night to couples celebrating their 50th Anniversary or more.

We would hardly call the Hotel Pennsylvania suitable for an quick weekend stay, let alone a whole anniversary celebration vacation. On the other hand, $11 for a night in the heart of New York City is too hot to resist, and we seriously hope that some couples work this deal for all it's worth. Just make sure to load up on the hand sanitizer and perhaps invest in one of those personal sleep sacks from the SkyMall catalog; bed bugs don't discriminate and they certainly don't care that it's your anniversary.
