Viceroy Miami Opens February 12th Starting at $199

We just got word that Viceroy Miami will officially start welcoming guests on February 12th — and they're accepting online rezzies for the night of the 12th and everything (last we checked, they were playing it safe and weren't accepting bookings for stays earlier than March 1st). We've been looking forward to this opening for a while — and mostly we're psyched to see the the 168 Kelly Wearstler-designed rooms with killer amenities like 42" plasma TVs, balconies, kitchenettes, iPod dock stations, and one-touch guest services.

There's a whole lot going on outside the rooms, too: a "meandering" 300-foot water feature with a wading pool, a 50-person hot tub and the longest infinity-edge pool in Florida, the poolside Café Icon, an outdoor fireplace, a life-size chess set, and a 28,000 square-foot urban spa. Also, for the celeb-stalking types: on the 50th floor will be Club 50, Miami's "most exclusive" indoor-outdoor lounge and rooftop pool with views of the city; down on the 15th floor, Viceroy’s signature restaurant will serve seafood in an indoor-outdoor setting overlooking the sexy people at the pool.

We assume all this will be enough to entice guests to drop big money to stay there — standard room rates are looking to be around $400 a night, though we just navigated our way through the online reservation system and managed to score a Viceroy Miami Debut Offer Rate of $199 for the night of February 12th.
