Desires Hotels, what's goin' on? Today, Curbed came across a few renderings of what appears to be Cassa Hotel and Residences — the Desires Hotels property on its way to Midtown Manhattan at the end of '09. We're guessing Curbed has designs of the residences, but we did some poking around on the architect's website to find what just might be hotel room renderings (which look a bit different).
Plus, we got a few more size deets on the hotel:
An elegant 48-story hotel and condominium tower rising in Midtown Manhattan [...] consisting of 166 hotel rooms and 56 apartments.
Apparently, doorless glass showers are the hot new thing in 2K9 — and we are hoping that's not a garage-door-esque bathroom entrance we see on the right.
CassaNY is slated to open at the end of '09 — meanwhile, we still have no opening date (or any updates, really) for the Ludlow. Sigh.
