Shang Introduces 'Starving Artists' Menu

With the incredible announcement that Smyth Tribeca will finally open tomorrow after several, annoying false-starts comes news that Shang at Thompson LES is introducing a Starving Artists menu. The prix fixe menu is offering three courses of the restaurant's "most popular" dishes for $35.

Mondays and Tuesdays, the special deal is available in the main dining room all night. From Wednesday through Saturday, it's only available from 6 to 7:30pm but you can order from the menu in the bar/lounge area all night every night. Some menu options include chef Susur Lee's 19 ingredient Singapore Slaw and braised beef cheek.

So it's not exactly a budget meal fit for true starving artists, especially since room rates are close to $200 a night, it is a deal for the "cool people preferred" Thompson brand.
