$99 Rooms at Hotel 57 in New York

Travelzoo has just announced a serious hotel deal for New York. Hotel 57 is offering rooms for $99 a night from now through March 29. To get this cheap rate you must book by February 24th. Twenty bucks more will get you an upgrade to a superior room.

So what's the catch?

Well, the hotel is undergoing a "transformation" into a Renaissance Hotel. This means some public areas of the hotel are under construction but the guest rooms are completed. That's not too bad, especially since Thompson Hotels does this all the time when opening its newest hotels. And most importantly, the rooms are renovated. Meaning, new. The recent reviews for Hotel 57 on TripAdvisor don't seem too terrible either and these are reviews of the new rooms. However, the most common complaint seems to be the room size which start at around 200-sq.ft. Still for $99 in NYC, that's a deal. Use booking code TZO to book.
