Charge it to The Buckingham!

Just in time for the dreaded holiday travel, The Buckingham Hotel has announced that they will pay for your taxicab ride back to the hotel by essentially taking off $50 from your room rate if you book a room after your flight gets canceled or delayed.

With their new “In-Transit” promotion, patrons who book a room after a cancelled or delayed flight from NYC’s airports including JFK and LaGuardia, will have the cost of the taxicab back to the Buckingham Hotel (up to $50) taking off of the current available room rate.

The deal is good from now through March 31st and is subject to availability. Room rates start at $199 a night but are subject to change. You will need to show your plane ticket and taxi receipt to get the discount.

If you are booking a room because of a flight delay, it has to be longer than four hours which is sort of a no-brainer because cabbing it to Manhattan and paying for a hotel room for just for two hours doesn't make sense. You would probably be better off buying a day pass to an airport lounge than doing this. But if your flight does get cancelled, this could be a good option.

To book this special rate call 888-511-1900.
