Best Hotel Video Tour: Inside Encore Las Vegas
It's what you've been waiting all year for--The 2009 HotelChatter Awards! We'll be bringing you the best and worst of the year (and the decade) all day today and part of tomorrow. Agree or disagree with our picks? Air your thoughts in comments below.
Each year our video library grows and each year it becomes harder to pick the best one of the year. We've gone all over the world to shoot these videos, from Vienna to New Mexico to London, Paris, Montreal, Kuala Lumpur, Cartagena, Sydney, Hong Kong and Dublin.
In fact, we've filmed over 75 videos in 2009 and put them all right here for your viewing pleasure.
But interestingly, the most watched video of the year was found in Las Vegas at the Encore Las Vegas, which opened in January. Then again, Las Vegas was a great destination for hotel deals this year. We even spent two nights at the Encore this September for just $99 a night (mid-week.) In the boom years of '05, '06 and even '07 that was unheard of.
We'll have more on Vegas later but for now, check-out the runner-ups.
1. New York Video Tours: It's not every hotel in NYC (someday we will do that) but it's a pretty awesome list.
2. The Famous Bed-In Suite Used by John Lennon and Yoko Ono: Special correspondent Shira Lazar interviewed a journalist who was with John and Yoko in 1969 during their second bed-in for peace at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in rooms 1738 and 1742.
3. Five Mellow Days in Dublin at the Maldron Cardiff Lane: We just love Contributor Victor Ozols narrated tour. Need helping getting that Guinness out the vending machine? Victor is here to help.
