If you plan to visit Bali, prepare for plenty of Aussie tourists and expats—the W is in Seminyak, just north of cheap-and-cheery Kuta, although in a spot that’s already home to high-end properties including The Elysian and Anantara. For those who prefer vodka over daiquiris and big fluffy hats over sarongs, the W St. Petersburg is right in the heart of the city just south of the Neva River—close to plenty of cultural attractions and handy for business travelers, too.
Only the W St. Petersburg is taking reservations at this stage—rooms start at 16,000 rubles, which is about $530 USD. Based on what we’re seeing with the W in Puerto Rico, we can’t help but expect delays with the Bali property, but if the Russians are already taking rezzies we think they’re a safe bet for opening on time. Which means we have nine months to figure out how to say “Whatever/Whenever” in Russian.
