Five Last-Minute Gift Ideas for The Hotel Geek in Your Life

You've bought for Mom, Dad, sis, bro, auntie, uncle and both sets of grandparents. You managed to tip extra for the doorman, the newspaper delivery boy and the cleaning lady. But oh noes! You forgot about your jetsetting friend who's obsessed with travel, luxury hotel swag, hotel fashion and really, anything that you can print a hotel name on. (No, we're not talking about us. Well, maybe....)

Never fear. HotelChatter is here with a handy list (we know, we're so original!) of last-minute geek ideas for the lovable hotel gift in your life.

And by last-minute, we mean presents you can order online, print out a picture of to present on Christmas day and then have arrive at your friend's house sometime closer to New Year's Eve. But hey, it's the thought that counts.

1. Hotel Gift Cards: Hotel gift cards are the easiest to buy for your friends. Some gift cards, like the ones from Marriott, can be found in your local supermarket. Most all gift cards, you can order online (and as the Four Seasons pointed out to us: even on Christmas Day!) New to the gift card mania this year are Trump Hotels and Hyatt's new Wish List option.

2. Westin's Heavenly Toiletries: Yes, you could probably swipe these from the housekeeping carts in a Westin hotel but that's not really in the Christmas spirit is it? Instead, order the set online from Westin at Home. Choose from the White Tea Aloe, The Green Tea Grapefruit or the Chamomille Lavendar lines. Seven ounce bottles of heavenly start at $12.

3. The Sunset Marquis Bathrobe: We don't know about you but it's pretty impressive to gift your friend with a plush Frette bathrobe or a Waffle robe from the uber-sophisticated, celebrity hideaway of The Sunset Marquis. And you don't have to tell them you bought it from the hotel (for $125). You could say you slept with someone to get it. ;)

4. Anything from ShopTheStandard.com: Finally, an online hotel store with stuff we actually like from the Quiksilver boardshorts ($75) to the Stephen Sprouse Chateau Marmont Cap ($38), the Jean Yu for The Mercer silk robe ($395) and the Standard NYC's Biergarten shirts ($35.) You can't go wrong here, except if you buy the Standard Spa Sweat Bands ($12).

5. Ace Hotel Palms Springs Shoes and Tote Bag: We coveted this cute shoe and tote bag set from Arkitip back in April and we still think it's an ideal gift for the Palm Springs-hopping friend in your life. Shoes start at $85, but you get a tote bag too!
