BondSt Sushi at Thompson Beverly Hills Could Be on Way Out

For the bicoastal folks who loved having a West Coast outpost of BondSt Sushi, we have some bad news--BondSt might be out at Thompson Beverly Hills. Instead we think a new restaurant from Thompson Hotels' Do Not Disturb restaurant group will take its place.

Thompson Beverly Hills announces they will now solely operate the on site restaurant, second floor lounge and Above Beverly Hills rooftop. Acclaimed Chef Brian Redzikowski will remain, along with his signature dishes and cocktails. New additions to the menu and cuisine style will be announced soon.

The folks at Thompson have told us simply that owners of BondSt Sushi have left the project and that Thompson would now be operating it with the same chef. There's no precise mention that BondSt is out but we gather that once owners leave a project, they take their name with them too.

For now the BondSt Restaurant still lists the Beverly Hills location but we don't expect that to last much longer.

mmmm.... mercury....

I think sushi and fish in general is on its way out - until mercury levels can be more quickly determined (and fish is getting higher and higher levels of mercury every year), and until you know what you're eating - more and more of the time when you order sushi you aren't even getting the type of fish that you order.  sushi is quickly becoming the least trusted food out there... unless your goal is to have a baby born with physical and mental defects.
