Planning to whoop it up in Dallas this New Year's Eve? If you get a little sloppy—or lucky—before the clock strikes twelve, the Hotel Palomar will be your Prince Charming and grant you a room for 50 percent off. If you and your pumpkin-coach arrive at check-in after 11 p.m.

The deal is available now through December 31, but of course, there is limited availability on New Year's Eve. The Cinderella rate is offered for same-day reservations only, and you need to use CIN as your rate code when booking online or over the phone. (So plug the hotel's number into your cell now, and get ready to call on the 31st). The deal will bring rates down as low as $99. Regular rates still available for New Year's Eve start at $189 a night.

In other NYE news, the Palomar is hosting a "Bubbles and Baubles" party at its Central 214 restaurant. The seven-course menu includes smoked salmon mousse-stuffed deviled eggs with caviar crème fraiche, champagne poached jumbo prawns with gruyere jalapeno grits, and a glass of Moët Chandon at midnight. Prices start at $65 a person ($35 extra for the wine-pairing menu), which sounds reasonable to us folks used to the outrageous cover charges at New York hotels on New Year's.

We're big fans of deviled eggs, but as delicious as that sounds, if we wind up in Dallas on NYE, you'll probably find us playing Cinderella in one of those cozy zebra-print robes upstairs. Maybe room service will send up some eggs and champers?
