The Hotel Ferrandi Is Dead, Long Live The, Um, 'BJ 2010'

Well here’s a way of getting our attention. The Hotel Ferrandi in Paris has closed for a rebuild, but lest you forget about it and fall for one of the establishments offering crazy deals all over the place, it’s making a bid for your attention by renaming the new hotel, BJ 2010.
Ok, it’s a codename for the rebuild project rather than a permanent moniker (at least, we sincerely hope), but still. The hotel’s blog says:
It’s our way of hiding the identity of the character who will be giving the hotel its new theme.
Er, whatever. We say it’s their way of getting our attention – and it’s worked.
Anyway, the blog has some pictures of the hotel in its current stripped position, and some blurb on the architect, Vincent Bastié, who’s worked with the BJ’s owners before on their sister hotels.
More interestingly, he looks rather like a Gallic Mario Testino, which means we expect great things from the BJ (or, rather, better things than the wallpaper horrors shown on the blog).
At least, once you’ve given it a name like that, things can only get better…
Anyways, should you fancy shacking up at the BJ, it's slated to open "as a luxury hotel" in Autumn 2010.
Thanks, Horomaniac!
