Go East! in Europe For Good Deals And Great Culture

It's hard to believe that one of our favorite parts of the world, Eastern Europe, has only been easy to travel to for the last twenty years – that's how long it is since the Berlin Wall fell, and that's also the reason why Marriott is celebrating with the Marriott's Go East! Package, with specials in five major eastern European cities. We like these deals because they're not just a bed and some food – they also feature some little touches to help you get to know the Cold War historical sides of the cities.
In the city where it all happened, you can stay at the Berlin Marriott Hotel with a Go East! package for €199 ($290) including a double room, breakfast, the Berlin Welcome Card and tickets to the very cool Berlin Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie. At the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel in Romania (pictured), the deal starts at 660 Lei ($226) and gets you a double room, breakfast, 20% off any other food and drinks during your stay, and two tickets to visit the city's Parliament Palace.
Moving on to Hungary, the Budapest Marriott Hotel has their Go East! special starting at €183 ($270) with similar conditions to the Bucharest deal; then there are two nice cultural add-ons, with tickets for Statue Park (a unique place where old communist statues have gone to die) and two tickets to the House of Terror Museum too.
In Poland, 350 Zloty ($120) will get you accommodation with an upgrade, breakfast, food discounts, 24-hour transport passes for Warsaw and two tickets for the Warsaw Uprising Museum, at the Marriott Hotel Warsaw.
And in Prague, several Marriott spots like the Courtyard Marriott Prague Airport and the more central Marriott Prague have deals going with accommodation, breakfast, food discounts, transport passes and two tickets to the Communism Museum.
Good packages with a cultural bent – we give that the thumbs up.
