The Windjammer Landing's 20th Anniversary Deal Is Beyond Confusing

We've plied you with St. Lucia Hotels all this week, so now let's investigate a deal for holing up on the island at the Windjammer Landing in honor of their 20th Anniversary.

So the deal is, if you stay four or more nights at their property, and one of those nights happens to be the 20th of the month (valid through December 2010), that night will cost you only $20. In addition, they're offering a few other goodies:

· 20% discount on luxurious spa treatments
· 20th Birthday and 20th Anniversary candlelit dinner
· 20 hours of complimentary babysitting/nanny services
· 20% savings on a romantic sunset cruise
· 20 percent savings on food and beverage all-inclusive packages
· Sun Dollar Savings (resort credit) worth up to $200 per night per stay

Find out if it's a deal or no deal, after the jump.

Jetblue might be flying cheaply and directly down to St. Lucia from New York-JFK now, but that still means you've got to pay for your hotel stay on the island, which can get expensive during a high season like winter. Luckily the Windjammer is at the low end of the price scale with rooms beginning at $199.

And now you think it's a deal, right? Well, we're not so sure. With low occupancy rates thanks to the recession, many island hotels are feeling the burn and thus have launched offers like free 4th and 7th nights. The Windjammer is still charging you for your 4th night, and only $20 if you happen to hit on the 20th of the month.

Not to mention how confusing this can get, when you're trying to remember to spend all your "Sun Dollars" and not go over your free 20 hours of babysitting. And a 50% discount on those sunset cruises and spa treatments would have been more like it, since we're betting few will opt for this deal anyways.

All in all, we say no deal. That is unless you're just plain desperate to follow our St. Lucia escapades with a jaunt of your own, and could care less about room rates and freebies. Book by December 21, 2010 by calling them direct at (877) 522-0722.
