Attention, barflies and hotel lobby loungers! Manhattan's vintage Roosevelt Hotel has just announced a contest perfect for you, and indeed ideal for anyone who has ever wanted to feel the power of naming something.

In early 2010, The Roosevelt will open an additional bar—leaving the main lobby one to the sports fans and regular business travelers—and they want you to name it. With the "Name Our Bar" contest, you can submit your most creative bar name on their blog here, and then cross your fingers until they announce the winning selection in late December.

Find out what there is to win, after the jump

To get you motivated and spur your creativity, The Roosevelt has announced a sweet prize package: A two-night stay in a suite at The Roosevelt, daily breakfast at the Roosevelt Grill, tickets to a Broadway show, special VIP treatment at the bar’s Grand Opening party, and your name inscribed on a bar stool. You may not get to name the joint after yourself, but at least you're John Hancock will be there somewhere.

Here's some info on the bar to help the creative juices: "The newly named bar will offer a relaxed environment for locals, located just steps away from Grand Central Station. In addition to a full bar, the new space will feature a wide variety of beers on tap, as well as a menu offering light assortment of palate-pleasing treats."

Get to submitting at their blog; the contest ends on December 14.

Still thinking...

This place is awesome and I like the contest, I just hope I am not too late for it. I bet it has the coolest bar equipment ever, I couldn't have expected less from New York.
