Black Friday is Not Just For Electronics But For Hotel Deals Too

November 24, 2009 at 2:33 PM | by juliana | 0 Comments

Hyatt Regency Monterey

If you missed out on Hyatt Hotels' 24-hour hotel sale last week, you'll have another chance on Black Friday.

Yes, Black Friday can also apply to hotel deals and not just electronics at Wal-Mart, Sears and Best Buy. And the good news here is that your chances of getting trampled by eager buyers are slim to none.

How to Book: Starting on November 27, go to Hyatt.com and use code LTO110 to get 30 percent off daily stays at participating Hyatt brands in "key urban and resort destinations around the globe."

The Black Friday rate will be good through December 10 for stays through February 28, 2010.

The Catch: The Park Hyatt and Andaz brands are only 20 percent off and require a seven-day advance purchase. All reservations require full, non-refundable prepayment at the time of booking. So make sure you really, really need that Hyatt hotel stay. Or else you can just buy that flat-screen TV you've been eying all week.

Some other Black Friday sales include:

· Hotels.com: Hotels.com is having a four-day sale from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. (Oy) featuring discounts at 200 properties in 100 destinations. Yes, Las Vegas is on that list.

· Sonesta St. Maarten Resorts: On Black Friday you can get rates at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino and Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino for 50 percent off. Stays must occur between January 3 and March 31, 2010.

· The Plaza, New York: Ok, technically this isn't a hotel deal but if you find yourself scooting along Fifth Avenue with the rest of the Black Friday shoppers, pop into the Plaza's Oak Room where they will be handing out drams of The Dalmore Gran Reserva single malt scotch whiskey...on the house. Don't mind if we do.
