Streinu-Cercel says the flu was spread by a Portuguese woman who refused to be hospitalized for two days after it was confirmed that she was carrying the illness. He gave no further details.
The Hotel Sinaia manager, Marian Schwartz, says participants at the conference came from 31 European countries.
Hmm...we're guessing giant vats of hand sanitizer were not installed here where rooms go for about 70 euros a night. Still, for one woman to infect 40 people in a single weekend, we've got to wonder about the sanitary conditions in place here. News clips showed men in masks fumigating the place, room by room.
Um, we hope that works? Although, overcoming a reputation as a Swine Flu Hotel might be very hard to do. And considering that it's a bunch of lawyers that got sick? Like we said, good luck!
