Wyndham Hotels Does Not Want Your Flu Germs, Thank You Very Much

November 19, 2009 at 4:19 PM | by | ()

Had your flu shot yet? You never can tell who’s laden with germs. That’s why Wyndham Hotels is now handing out complimentary bottles of hand sanitizer to guests arriving at 10 of their airport hotels. But don’t worry, they won’t be spraying you with the stuff as you check in, just giving you a pocket-sized sanitizer from the Bath & Body Works PocketBac Deep Cleansing Hand Gel range.

In the words of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts president Jeff Wagoner:

"This is just one more way that Wyndham hotels care for guests as part of our ‘Be Well’ philosophy."

The partnership is hardly surprising when you remember that Bath & Body Works already supplies toiletries from its True Blue Spa line for Wyndham guest rooms. (We quite like the Grin and Bare It body lotion.) But we’re happy they’re offering a range of fragrances in the hand sanitizer: Warm Vanilla Sugar, Coconut Lime Verbena, or unscented. In addition to the fantastic flu-fighting hand gel, guests will also receive a coupon for a free antibacterial item of their choice with any purchase of $10 or more at a Bath & Body Works store. Which is good news, because those pocket-sized sanitizers only cost $1.50 retail. Not exactly an extravagant freebie.

You can help keep Wyndham airport hotels germ-free in the following locations: Miami; Newark; Indianapolis; Portland, Maine; Oklahoma City; Dallas Love Field; DFW Airport North; El Paso; Richmond, Va; and Milwaukee. Achoo!

Sanitizer also at Fairmont Copley Plaza ...

... in Boston. I popped in over the weekend and they had a big pump bottle of sanitizer on the Concierge desk counter, with a note saying they were offering it in the interest of guest health, etc.
