Union Square may be convenient location-wise, but we typically brace ourselves for room prices in the mid-to-upper hundreds to start with, and definitely higher if you plan on going really high-end. But the Crescent, whose sister hotels are New York's Cooper Square and Crescent Beverly Hills, has—shocker of shockers—rooms starting at $105 as part of a Grand Opening sale. We ran room searches for the two weeks post-opening, but had no luck with availability. Jump forward to November, however, and—bingo!—up pops that $105 rate for Crescent Junior Queen accommodations. The magic of Quikbooks, unlike so many other hotel discounts, is that you don't have to dig through the multi-layered strata of a hotel's website to find the deal, or even have to make a direct call to make sure it exists.
