For a weekend stay in November, The Hotel Lutetia in Paris (shown above and where Dita Von Teese stayed at the beginning of the year) will cost you €203 ($300/£182) per night on the Winter Offer. That gets you a room for two, breakfast, and a ticket to the Louvre and a trip on a Bateau Mouche for you both.
But if you’re happy to pay up front and forego any refunds, you can nab a double for €184 ($272/£165) with the Super Saver offer. Yes it’s room only, and heinous Paris prices mean that a croissant and a café au lait at the local brasserie will probably add up to the extra €19, but if you’re not a brekkie person, it’s not a bad deal.
Likewise, the Hotel Casa Marcello in Prague has a Winter Offer deal of €70.60 ($105/£63) per night with breakfast, a welcome drink and a bottle of wine thrown in. Whereas the Super Saver will give you a bed for €63.47 ($94/£57).
Ok, it’s not a huge difference in either case, and we’d probably go for the Winter Offer at the Lutetia, seeing as Louvre tickets alone cost €9 and the breakfast buffet is ace there, but we do wish that when hotels announce "special offers" (or "amazing rates" as they did in this case), they really were special.
