More Hotel Halloween Doggies! What more do you want on this Friday afternoon before Halloween? These awesome photos come to us from the Hotel Monaco Alexandria, which held its Howl-o-ween Costume Contest on Thursday. And just to show anyone worried about puppy labor laws that canine concierges do have a chance to clock off and get loose, here is the hotel’s Director of Pet Relations, bichon frise Charlie getting into the Halloween spirit. He’s dressed as chef Derek Simcik from the hotel’s restaurant Jackson 20—right down to the tattoos.

Then there was Scooby, decked out in Oktoberfest lederhosen, who took home the Top Dog award of the evening. (Kudos for hitting two October festive occasions in one, Scoobs!)

The party took place in the Hotel Monaco’s brick-lined courtyard from 4:30 to 8 p.m., and we’re guessing from these photos that the lobby bar was filled with costumed creatures of all sorts after that. Donations of $10 per person were suggested, with funds going to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Good pictures

The Howl-o-ween Costume Contest is one of the prettiest things I've seen this year. All the dog clothes and haircuts create a unique atmosphere and a perfect entertainment on Halloween. I was looking for a puppy dressed as Dracula costume, but I suppose that the little furry dogs appear only in the night... .
