But the site doesn't necessarily offer discounts that you couldn't otherwise get. Hotel Indigo offers a $108 room rate that you can also get through the hotel's own website. And for the Porto Vista Hotel & Suites, Hotel Week gives us a room with a queen bed for $119, but Porto's site offers the same room for $109. The Se San Diego provides an excellent discount. A cityside guestroom goes for $500 on the Se's website, but you can get it through Hotel Week's site for $189, along with $25 spa and $25 food and beverage credits.
Other places want in on the Hotel Week action, but again, you're not definitely securing a discount. Through the website, you can get $4 off tickets to the San Diego Zoo. But when we looked at the San Diego Photo Safari's three-hour walking tour, the Hotel Week site had the same $80 price as the company's website, so no deal there. Ditto for tickets to the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. The Hotel Week website charges $4, which is the regular admission rate.
Before you book, be sure to check around to ensure you're really getting a deal.
