Let Rufus Dine Like a King at Loews This Holiday Season

October 21, 2009 at 8:53 AM | by MsRebecca | 0 Comments

If you have a wayward Westie or a stinky spaniel who doesn’t quite pass muster at Mom and Pop’s for the big Thanksgiving holiday, don’t panic. You don’t have to put Rufus in a kennel—you could bring him along and stay with him at a Loews Hotel. (You might enjoy the personal space, too.)

One of the pet-friendliest chains in the country, Loews already offers a generous welcome kit for pets. But if you check in between now and January 10, 2010, your pet will also be treated to the “Houndly Holidays” package (Yes, we know, even though Loews loves cats, too, the dogs get all the attention and all the cutesy promo tags.)

For the most part, this includes the standard “Very Important Pet” perks always offered by Loews: the use of food & water bowls, dog tags, treats, scoop bags, leashes, collars, pet room service, and help booking local pet services. For the holidays, the four-legged guests also receive a Bow Wowzer toy from West Paw Design (maker of eco-friendly, funky-looking pet products), and a holiday menu.

The festive feast options created by Loews Executive Chef Marc Ehrler include Dog Nog, Turkey Rolls a la Pug, Spaniel Stuffing, Persian Pumpkin Pie, and Lassie Latkes. You can check out some of the recipes here. Don’t worry if you decide to eat one of Rufus’ dishes instead of Aunt Pat’s dry turkey roll: Loews also offers a standard pet menu of bow burgers, filet, and plain old kibble and canned pet food.

The package is available at 17 Loews Hotels throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prices vary, starting at $134 a night for the Loews Denver and Loews New Orleans.
