Plenty of other folks are getting into Palomar fever as well. Students from Temple University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality are working as marketing volunteers for the hotel, passing out discount vouchers, spreading the word, and giving tours of the property. One student is actually working at the hotel as an intern. (Kimpton is repaying the favor with a Temple visit by COO Niki Leondakis tomorrow.)
Meanwhile, we were psyched to find the Philly Chat Chat blog’s sneak peek at what the rooms really look like, as well as the Living Room lobby space, and the restaurant, Square 1682. From what we can tell, the rooms look like standard Kimpton issue—clean, simple, with a couple of quirks—and the Living Room looks like the perfect place to settle in with a glass of wine after a fall afternoon’s stroll through the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. We love that fire and the circular couches.
The hotel is sold out through October 20, but if you book a stay before Thursday (for dates in 2009) you might score the Grand Opening offer, with weekday rates starting at $199 a night, weekends starting at $119 a night.
