Sheraton Hotels are ready to party. They have just completed a massive $6 billion renovation of their 86 North American properties which means Sheraton now has 50,000 new or newly renovated guestrooms complete with brand new Sheraton Sweet Sleeper all-white, high-thread count beds. And as we told you yesterday, Sheraton is offering you a chance to spend a night in one of these freshened up hotels for free.

The contest kicks off on October 6th, but we were fortunate enough to get an up close and personal look at the Sheraton Boston Hotel which recently finished a $50 million renovation. This is a shot of one of the executive suites at the hotel.

So let's play a little game here--can you spot the newness?

Does this make you want to spend the night here? Is it an improvement from the last Sheraton Hotel you stayed in? What do you see that you like or dislike? Tell us what you think of this Sheraton room and we'll update you tomorrow with all the scoop on the new look for Sheraton.

What do you see (or don't see) that's new and improved for the Sheraton brand? Let us know in comments below.

A phone with a cord?

I see a neat desk area with a flatscreen and ergonomic chair but is that a phone with a cord? i didnt know they still made those. :) the furniture looks like a huge improvement for sheraton and that bed does look "sweet."

Phone

So funny you spotted that.  It is right next to me and it is O.L.D.  The furniture is new, lighting new, tv flat, but the two in-room phones are straight out of the late 80s.

Walls

Did they run out of money for prints or something--anything--to hang on the walls? It looks so bare!

Floor

Is that a green draylon couch I see hiding in the corner?  Refurb budget obviously didn't stretch to a coffee table.  Flooring looks terrible and how do I watch TV from my bed, clearly not enough space to pivot it.

New Sheraton?

Are you 100% sure that the image above represents the new Sheraton design scheme? I am not sure that it does...it certainly doesn't scream "renovated". Anything official up on the Starwood site?

Newer than the Sheraton Syracuse

I'm currently sitting in my room at the Sheraton Syracuse.  I don't know if the pic above really includes all the new Sheraton brand standards, but it looks hella new compared to the room I'm in right now.

Speaking of new . . . Off to the W FLL next!

phones...

you would be suprised how many updadted hotels have older pgones in the rooms. Apparently they are ridiculously expensive to replace, most hotels choose to spend their money on other things if the phones are still in (mostly) working order

renovation

If they renovated, well and good. I want to stay there again.

how nice

I'm currently sitting in my room at the Sheraton Syracuse
