Fairmont Hotels may have opened up three new hotels along the ancient silk road yesterday (Cairo, China, Abu Dhabi) but they still have a special place in their hearts for California with their new “Chocolate at Pinot” Package available at their San Francisco and Sonoma hotels.

Some people get their antioxidants from green tea, and others get them from blueberries. Us? We prefer fight free radicals with red wine and dark chocolate. Hey, it still counts, so don’t judge us. Now thanks to Fairmont, we can indulge our (healthy, we swear!) cravings with this new four-day package.

With it, you can spend the first two days, Willy Wonka-ing it up at the Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square, which is actually in the former world-famous Ghirardelli Chocolate factory facility in the heart of San Francisco. Then take the second two days to relax from the bustle of the big city out at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, a grandiose pink resort with a nearly century-long history of gentrified rustication near many of Sonoma’s most famous wineries, and just a couple miles from the town of Sonoma itself.

The Chocolate and Pinot Package includes two nights in a 1-, 2-, or 3-bedroom luxury residence at the Heritage Place, including complimentary continental breakfast, a Ghirardelli Chocolate welcome gift, and access to the house car, a Maserati Quattroporte (that means four-door!)…just so you can take those famous San Francisco hills at 80 miles per hour.

This property is one of only six Fairmont properties that are part of Fairmont’s private residence club, and is the chain’s first urban installation of the brand, so a stay here is exclusive to say the least—and you don’t even have to buy an ownership stake in the property like the normal guests.

At the Mission Inn, the package includes two nights’ accommodations, a $100 spa service credit per room, daily breakfast, and a complimentary bottle of Sonoma Pinot Noir.

Rates for the package start at $1700 plus tax, though if you’re not going in the dead of low season (say late January), chances are it won’t be that low. Still, for a bit of high-class pampering, this does sound like a pretty good deal. Just one last tip, reservations may only be made by calling 1(800) 257-7544, or booking online at Fairmont’s dedicated packages page.
