This is How You Check-In at Andaz West Hollywood

Yesterday we got a sneak peek at the first Andaz Hotel from Hyatt on this side of the pond--The Andaz West Hollywood. We ate dinner at the hotel's RH restaurant, we took in the nighttime views of the strip from the hotel's rooftop pool area and we toured a couple of rooms.
Overall, we were rather impressed. It's a huge change from the old Riot Hyatt days and even from what the place looked like a few years ago. And we're really digging the Andaz "whatever you like" sensibility that runs throughout. Imagine if the rapper T.I. were a hotel, he would be like Andaz.
We'll have the full review for you on Monday but right now, we wanted to let you know how to check-in to a room here.
When you walk in, there's a sitting area in front of you and a long communal table with a couple of laptops to your left. But there's no front desk. Instead, there are attendants waiting near the front doors with this sort of handheld laptop. You give them your name, they look up your reservation and make a key card straight from this tablet device.
You can even hit up the bar when you walk in and have the attendant check you in while you down your vodka sodas. As for "gassing up the jet for you tonight"? Well, we didn't say Andaz was exactly like T.I.
