Guess the Hotel :: We Seriously Don't Know This One

January 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM | by | Comments (6)

Usually when we post a Guess the Hotel, we already know the answer. We just like to give you readers the chance to determine where this hotel could be. We throw down a few mildly hard hints and have you go at it in comments below.

This edition of the game is different. We actually don't know where the heck this hotel is. This picture was sent to us from a tipster who is seeking an answer. This is the email we got:

I found it when I was looking for obscure German and Austrian hotels. I need your help determining at which hotel a photograph was taken. I forgot where I found the attached hotel picture. I saved it on my computer about six years ago because I thought it would be a neat place to visit someday. It looks like it is somewhere in Switzerland. Could you open my question to a public forum?

So to recap: the picture is six years old. It's probably somewhere in Europe, maybe Switzerland. It has an outdoor (heated, we assume) pool in the middle of the mountains next to a lake. Also people can layout in their bathing suits while there is snow on the ground so there is some funky weather here.

We have no idea ourselves as to where this hotel is. It may not even be real. Photoshop was around six years ago. Anyways, it's up to you experienced hotel geeks out there to help this tipster out.

Know the hotel? Drop your suggestions in comments below.

yep - wow. it is a real picture at a real hotel.. apparently it's a "Glass enclosed outdoor pool" which.. sounds to me like it would be an indoor pool..
