First up, the company is planning to open up their NYLO Dallas - Las Colinas property, which we've known was on the way for a while and is reportedly already 65 percent finished. It's on track to "open early in the third quarter of this year," and has 200 rooms, 7,000 square feet of meeting space plus a 7,000-square-foot ballroom (with exposed brick walls!) opening onto a 7,500-square-foot courtyard with two heated pools, cabanas and an outdoor bar.
The just-announced NYLO Chicago - West Loop will be right in the middle of a "neighborhood loaded with urban charms" like residential lofts, high-rise condo, cool restaurants and galleries. It will have 179 guestrooms, plus a rooftop restaurant and bar as well as The Loft (if you didn't catch this by now, each NYLO has a restaurant/bar called The Loft) featuring original music and art by Chicago-area artists.
A third Dallas NYLO is in the works, too but this one will be the debut of the XP by NYLO brand. XP Dallas - Frisco will be a four-story hotel with a lobby wine bar (with "a soaring fireplace") and that cozy warm theme will be a theme carried over into the guestrooms, which will have exposed brick walls, and a vibe that will "invite road-weary travelers to sit back and unwind." This hotel is also geared toward the business traveler, as the Frisco hotel guest is fairly similar to the Plano visitor; both cities are quickly-developing suburb with high volumes of offices and whatnot.
And finally, the biggest news of all: NYLO is heading to New York. The just-announced NYLO Manhattan will be a 130-room property located in the Financial District, adjacent to South Street Seaport. It will, of course, be the first NYLO in Manhattan and we're eager to see how it ends up faring on the NYC hotel scene...and no, we have absolutely no idea what those room rates are going to be like.
We don't have expected opening dates for the Chicago, Frisco or NYC properties just yet (as the projects were just announced), but we'll keep you posted as we find out more.
