The hotel has an ensemble of quirky yet luxe suites rocking the indoor/outdoor living experience. Located not only at the top of hill, but also with rooms up some seriously steep steps, the views of the coastline are sensational, although a crazy workout to experience when you spend the whole day being lazy. (The views really reinforce that the Sierra Madres are everywhere!)
Oh, and there are no phones in the rooms here either. But some rooms have lovely terraces and sexy little plunge pools for couples to indulge in for a little something something. There is nice attention to higher-end looking details in the rooms too--recessed light fixtures, brick ceilings, wall niches with art pieces and painted cement floors all add a little style to the fairly budgeted rooms.
Sayulita is where you can rent a little studio via Craigslist and enjoy low-cost beach bum living in town. It's just big enough to have its small pick of nightlife and restaurants. During high season prices stay just above $100 a night.
