The Inauguration Hotel Scene Celeb Tracker

January 20, 2009 at 11:49 AM | by Jenna | 3 Comments

While Jaunted is doing its best to keep us updated on the inauguration in real-time, we're still hunting down celebs attending the big parties.

The always-reliable Page Six has been all up in the D.C. Hotel Scene during all this inauguration hoopla to make sure that, even on the edge of history and on the day that arguably the most famous face in America is to be sworn into office (as we type right now!), we won't forget about important people like Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson and Beyonce.

Right now, if celebs aren't at Sundance, they're probably up in DC making the rounds on the party circuit and watching the 44th president's inauguratio. Here's a quickie roundup, with a little help from Page Six, of who's been where and what they're up to tonight.

During tonight's festivities, expect whispers in some hotel lobbies when these celebs roll through:

DC's posh Mandarin Oriental Hotel has become an essential celeb-sighting stop. Guests spied power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z chilling in the piano lounge.

· The Fairmont. At the Purple Ball this evening, a few expected guests are Ashley Judd, Patricia Arquette, John Cusack, Tim Robbins, Ed Harris, Brendan Fraser, Susan Sarandon and Lisa Marie Presley.

· The Marriott Wardman Park. The Legends Ball will be hosted by Dionne Warwick; and, as we've been telling you for a while, Ludacris will be hosting the Urban Ball.

· The Renaissance Mayflower. Tonight, expect the Mayflower to host Cyndi Lauper, Melissa Etheridge and Rufus Wainwright at the Human Right's Campaign's Equality Ball.

In D.C. for the festivities? Got a good celeb sighting to share with us? Let us know!

    mayflower

The best moment at the Mayflower was witnessing Rufus Wainright and Cyndi Lauper duet to Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah." I also saw Ashley Judd, Josh Lucas, Rachel McAdams, Andrew Shue (Billy from 90210) and the one and only, Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans from Days of Our Lives) at the Fairmont Hotel on M Street for the Purple Ball.
