We actually got to speak with Perez and he told us how he went from zaftig to svelte this past year, although we did see him snag a Jeffrey Chodorow-inspired canape or two.
"I work out five days a week and I get my meals delivered and I only drink and cheat on day a week -- on Sunday -- normally. It's the holiday so it's all out the window now."
Diva or not, according to the Queen of Online Media, Madonna has his back.
"In Madonna's eyes I am on the A-List. She dedicated a song to me at a concert this year. She made me a video. I sang with her. If Madonna thinks I am cool, that is pretty fucking A-List."
Just like Miami's Gansevoort, New York's was peppered with Wilhelmina Models to keep up appearances. Tickets started at $175. Of course like any New York party, and especially a New York party where the top billing is El Perez, there were tons of Bridge and Tunnel folk crowding the rooftop, restaurant and lobby areas.
How do we know this? In an elevator packed with nearly two dozen revelers the answer to the question "Where are you guys from?" was: "Jersey, baby!" (No offense, Juliana!) And those Jersey folk weren't letting any cold weather temper their night. Why? Because they were staying in hotel.
