The Hyatt Regency Trinidad opened last January in the Port of Spain International Waterfront Development. It has pretty much everything that you would expect from a Hyatt Regency hotel--a full-service restaurant, a lobby bar and lounge, a fitness center and a 9,000 square-foot Spa Esencia. While the hotel is not on the beach, its infinity pool does overlook the Gulf of Paria.
Guestroom categories range from deluxe rooms to double rooms and suites, all designed in typical Hyatt "contemporary" fashion. Each room features bamboo floors, frosted-glass showers, Hyatt Grand Beds, LG flat screen 32” televisions, iHome docking stations and both wired and wireless internet.
Those staying on the top three floors of the hotel can access the Hyatt's Regency Club, a private area on the lobby level of the hotel, for concierge service, continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
The hotel has some pretty great reviews on TripAdvisor with the hotel's service earning several shout-outs. We're also really digging the newness and the clean design of the hotel. At the end of the day, it's still a Hyatt but after all the stuff you will witness at Carnival maybe something predictable is what you will need.
Rates for Carnival are topping out at $359 for a pre-paid internet rate. The regular rate is $10 more. But forget about cramming six of your friends into these rooms for Carnival. The hotel only allows a maximum of three people per room.
