Where To Get Super Bowl XLIII Hotel Rooms in Tampa

Know of a hotel room open for Super Bowl? Tell us where right here.
The four teams have now been solidified for the NFL playoffs--Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Arizona and Baltimore--meaning fans from all of those cities will be hoping their team makes it to the Super Bowl on February 1 in Tampa Bay. The hope and excitement can run so high that these fans will be online searching for hotel rooms in the Tampa area "just in case."
They might be disappointed.
Already room rates are getting jacked up. On a cursory search on Expedia.com, for the dates Jan. 30-Feb.3rd, we found only budget hotels still with availability and everything was in the mid-hundreds. When a La Quinta Inn can charge $239 a night and a Holiday Inn $450, it's bad.
Over at SuperBowlHotelRooms.com, a sort of hotel broker for big events like this, the site has listed the Hilton Resort and Spa for $600 a night, the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk for $999 a night (three nights minimum) and the Hard Rock Seminole at $1,800 for three nights. Yikes. It will be very interesting to see whether Americans will pony up those big bucks in this economy.
