The way we see it, there are three distinctive types of "Girlfriend Getaway" packages offered at hotels.

There's the Sex and the City-ish types, designed for Midwestern Bradshaw-lovers to come to Manhattan, drink cosmopolitans and eat cupcakes until they feel satisfied that they've accurately experienced the "girls'" fictional lifestyle.

Then you've got your standard girly packages -- which always appear to be put together by a faceless, single middle-aged man who believes women enjoy all things pink and spa-like.

Then you've got your for-reals Girlfriend Getaway packages -- you know, the kind that nicely supplement the itinerary you'd actually complete if you went on a vacay with your girls: a bit of exercise (ideally), a bit of chillin (obviously) and a bit of drinking (not cosmopolitans, though).

Luckily, the soon-to-open Westin Riverfront in Vail Valley (anticipated opening date: late September) is keeping it real with two Girlfriend Getaway-type packages -- one steep and the other a bit, well, cheap.

The first -- Ski & Spa Girlfriend Getaway -- will run you $714 per person for two nights and includes:

· Two nights accommodations for two in a traditional room
· Two 50 minutes treatments at Spa Anjali
· 1 day of skiing at Beaver Creek Resort for two people
· 1 day Performance Ski Package from Beaver Creek Sports for two people
· Complimentary bottle of wine each evening
· Complimentary valet parking and welcome amenity upon arrival

Yeah. At least they're keeping it real with a bottle of wine instead of, lame sugary cocktails. To be fair, the price tag may be largely due to the cost of lift tickets.

Still too much? Check out Vail in the fall -- book the High Country Ladies Weekend for a far easier-to-deal-with $361 per person.

· 2 nights accommodations for two in a traditional room
· Two 50 minute treatments at Spa Anjali
· Complimentary valet parking and welcome amenity upon arrival
· Two complimentary cocktails each in the hotel bar

Seriously though: check out Vail Valley in the fall. Also: does the High Country Ladies Weekend have a rule that dudes aren't allowed to go on the High Country weekend? Cause, like, we'd make our boyfriend hit that up with us. He could use a facial, actually.
