The carpeting in this part of The Louvre, showing off royal furniture, looks very similar to the George V.
The flowers at the George V, in several different areas of the hotel, are worth a look.
The George V.
So many of you correctly guessed last week's Guess the Hotel post right that we are probably going to have to start making these harder.
Anyways, the answer to that fugly hotel carpeting is indeed the Four Seasons George V in Paris. But do not let this carpeting deter you from the rest of the hotel, which is gorgeous.
The hotel spends about a million dollars a year on floral displays and they are worth a peek, especially if you can't afford the $1,000 room rate. You will also see the poshest of the posh clientele in this hotel, whether they be flitting through the lobby or taking tea in La Galerie, home to the fugly carpeting.
Our only complaint is that while this is a beautiful and luxurious hotel, it did feel old and a bit like a staid Four Seasons, which is just a tad too antiseptic for us.
Then again, we may not know anything. We swear we saw the same version of the Four Seasons rug in The Louvre's Denon wing. Photographic evidence after the jump.
