More than 40 years after the Beatles were banned from playing in Israel, Sir Paul McCartney has landed in Tel-Aviv and checked into the Dan Hotel and will be preparing for an historic performance tonight.

The Dan, if you'll recall, was featured on this humble little website when one of our readers was so kind as to review it for us. To recap: the property is posh, it's located in the city's center and it's steps from the beach.

But we don't think you've got a chance of checking in there right now -- thing seem just a wee bit crowded. The LA Times reports:

McCartney arrived along with a reported 80 tons of speakers, instruments and stage equipment. His band and entourage occupy 21 suites.

We're sure he's got a ton of staff members by his side, too -- and we'd maybe go so far as to stay you'd probably want to avoid the Dan right now. Unless, of course, mobs of screaming fans are your thing.
