Loews Philadelphia Honors Housekeeping Staff

You know how they say you can know a how guy will treat his girl if you look at how he treats his mom? Well, the same can be said about the Loews Philadelphia. You know they'll take care of you, just by knowing how they treat their staff.

Last week was International Housekeeping Week and they jumped feet-first into the action with daily activities to honor the housekeeping staff. We so wish we had been there.

Kimberly Schnader, the hotel's Director of Human Resources, gave us the low-down on what happened at the hotel. Check it out:

Monday we played two games: Hotel Trivial Pursuit and Guess How Many, where team members were asked to guess how many amenities were in a box. In Trivial Pursuit, team members had to phone extensions and determine where amenities were on each floor.

On Wednesday the staff competed in Blindfolded Bed Making. Doesn't that totes sound like it could be next Olympic sport? Other activities included a race to see who could hang shower curtains on a rod fastest, a toilet paper toss (think ring toss but with toilet seats), a word scramble, and musical chairs.

The week concluded with an awards ceremony honoring Employees of the Year. Being the hotel nerds we are, this made us rush to the careers page and submit housekeeping applications. We would get the gold medal in Guess How Many!
