Memo to Sarah Palin: if laying low is what you're looking to do, may we gently chime in to let you know that staying at the Millenium Broadway smack in the middle of midtown during your NYC visit is not the way to go about it? It's tourist central over there and, frankly, you and the fam are not going to go unnoticed.

And while we're chit-chatting: can you use your authority to kindly ask the folks at the InterContinental Midtown to do something about those dreadful drapes?

We know you're here with the fam so you've probably got your hands full. The NY Post reports of your trip to the Big Apple:

The Palins kept a low profile at the Millennium Broadway hotel, where they were staying. The family ate breakfast in their rooms.

But there was a mob scene when Sarah Palin returned to the hotel yesterday afternoon. Tourists pulled out video cameras to film the governor.

...But, well, making a big flashy show of your New York visit is maybe what you were going for. And in that case, congrats on your NYC hotel-hopping: the InterContinental Midtown -- which we recognized right away in this pic because of the fugly-colored curtains and questionable decor -- is a good place to get yourself seen and photographed talking to world leaders -- look at that ornate and old-time glam decor!

    huh?

whats with Karzai's aide staring at the camera? can't he at least pretend to be interested in the interchange?

those also look like some lovely pastries on the coffee table there.
