The gimmick behind the name of the soon-to-open restaurant and lounge at Washington, D.C.'s Hyatt Regency is a bit cheesy, yes, but we're suckers for a good pun and think it's cute in a groan-inducing way.

"Article One expands dining rights on Capitol Hill," the press release announces. Har har, we get it.

Just in case you aren't up to par on Constitutional fundamentals, Article One is the one that outlines the powers of Congress. So it's only fitting that a new restaurant near the Capitol would play to its potential customer base's egos.

Actually, we're cringing just thinking of all those wonky types making bad political jokes while noshing on the "upscale classic American cuisine and libations" at the restaurant. (Seriously, this is D.C. People will make bad political jokes.)

Article One is part of the swank hotel's $7 million makeover, all due to be completed this month, and diners will roost from the Hyatt Regency's newly remodeled open-air atrium.

Executive Chef Michael Barber's lunch and dinner menus will feature more political-themed goodies like Senate Bean and Smoked Ham Soup (there's a joke in there somewhere), plus discounts for Hill staffers on food and drinks--excluding booze.

Sorry guys, but we're pretty sure you have laws to be tending to anyways.
