The Riot Hyatt in West Hollywood Turning into Hyatt Andaz

One of The Sunset Strip's most legendary hotels, the Hyatt West Hollywood aka The Riot Hyatt, will reopen in January as The Andaz West Hollywood.
Andaz is that funky new brand from Hyatt that opened in London last year but has yet to open anywhere else. There are two Andazs on tap for NYC but those projects are taking forever.
But here in LA we only have to wait a few months to experience the Andaz stateside.
Beginning with a dramatic glass garden pavilion set off the main entrance, the hotel will showcase a commissioned cascading hand-painted metal disk 11-foot sculpture by renowned New York-based artist Jacob Hashimoto....
The hotel will boast spectacular panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills on one side and the Sunset Strip and downtown Los Angeles on the other. In addition to magnificent views, the 257 rooms, including 20 expansive suites, will include sitting areas that can be used to work, rest, or play. Many of the guest rooms have been designed with a glass-enclosed sunroom that overlooks Sunset Boulevard.
Andaz West Hollywood also promises a rooftop terrace with heated pool and daybed seating, a restaurant and bar, local artwork and music performances as well as eco-friendly elements.
If you were thinking about one last party at the Riot Hyatt, we're very sad to inform you that the hotel is closed until December 1st.
