The piece chronicles Falor's rise and fall, from his days working in the hotels he grew up in to the latest lawsuits against him, including one from his own mother.
There's not much new information in here that we didn't already know nor is what is new that shocking (i.e. Falor owes people money.) Spurned architect Nizar Idrisi makes an appearance as do Miami realtors who talk about how Falor wined and dined investors.
What is interesting is that the Nicky O hotel project in South Beach was sold off to the Nakash family which owns Jordache jeans. This leads to us to say: If Diesel jeans did a hotel in Miami, why can't Jordache? Hopefully, something comes out of this project soon as the NYT reports squatters have taken over the building.
