Aloft Charleston Throws An Opening Party With a Do-Good Twist

So we've been closely keeping tabs on all the aloft openings throughout America (and, Canada) each one opening with a decent amount of fanfare, and some opening without any at all, but the aloft Charleston Airport and Convention Center is throwing a premier party which benefits a local AIDS group.

The aloft Charleston had a soft opening on July 31st but its grand opening will happen on Thursday, September 25th.

To celebrate, they are going all out, bringing in DJs, and offering a special room rate for $129 which gives you two tickets to the event, and breakfast for two the next morning.

For those who don't want to stay over, tickets are very inexpensive at $8 per person, but $3 from every ticket, $5 from every 'red ribbon' martini, and $1 from every other drink will be donated to the Low Country AIDS Services organization.

Wow. It's nice to see that this Aloft has decided to share their grand opening party with another organization instead of making it all about them. And if anything, throwing a benefit at the same time will probably bring more people to the hotel.
