When Will All These W Hotels Open?

As you can see from the screenshot above, 2009 will be a very big year for W Hotels which plans to open nine hotels in North America and one hotel in Santiago, Chile.

Up in January will be W Atlanta Downtown and W Fort Lauderdale. Followed by the W Hoboken (finally!) in February and the W South Beach and W Santiago in March. You'll have to hold on until April for the W Vieques and until June for W DC.

Rounding out the last quarter of the year will be W Boston, W Hollywood and W New York Downtown.

Noticeably missing on this list? W Philadelphia which was to open at the very end of 2009. Earlier this year, we posted renderings for the hotel but we're now wondering if this hotel will just open later in 2010 or perhaps, not at all? Got a clue what's going on? Spill it.

    I hear the W Philadelphia was scrapped. Bah!

    oooo. and you are kind of in the know aren't you CaroPhila? that's sad. sorry! you will just have to train it to Hoboken or DC instead!
