What do you get when you cross a German and a sombrero? OktobeerFiesta!

We realize that might not make a lot of sense, especially since it looks like we didn't even spell check the punchline but we're for real. Casa Dorada in Cabo San Lucas is celebrating OktoberFest at their B Lounge. We're thinking this is probably more affordable than trekking to Germany and the weather is guaranteed to be better.

The package, which includes three nights accommodation in a junior suite, an open beer-bar all day, and a pair of tickets to one night's activities is only $998. (The larger one bedroom suite package is $1,198.) Our calculations show that those rates include taxes, so beer-belly up to the B Lounge.

Since themed festivities don't begin til evening, you can spend the day surfing the free WiFi on your suite's private terrace, or by the pool, or by the beach, or at the spa, or just hanging out in the open bar all day getting your money's worth.

Evening activities include live music, ethnic food with beer pairings, and both German and Mexican snacks. So really, it's like you're traveling to two countries for the price of one. We can't think of a reason not to celebrate OktoberFest--er, um, OktobeerFiesta!--now.
