User LouZ says:
The pool was amazing. Cabanas, DJ, food and beverage service, fire pits. The restaurants were fantastic. The bar/lounges and game room on the 5th floor were probably the sexiest and least cheesy places ever designed in Atlantic City.
The rooms were designed with some of the best detail and sense of style and function i have ever experienced. The bed was ultra comfortable. Dare I say better then the W hotel beds!
Better than W? Interesting.
Perhaps our favorite review came from hipsterchick, a hotel geek after our own hearts:
If you're a brand whore (in a good way) and like your weekend haunts with a side of Delano meets Soho Grand with a chaser of `SwingTown', The Chelsea is for you and your entourage.
If you're into minimalist, vintage Schrager-esk luxe appointments (um, and who isn't?) and can do without marble this and granite that, then pony up for fabu weekend digs at the Chels. For half of the price of other AC hotels, you can get a view of the moon gleaming on the ocean, rent cute bikes for free, chill out on your free beach lounge chair, next to your free umbrella (great because damn, are they hard to pack in your bag) and cute little side table (yes, they will deliver you drinks there - hot).
And finally, user Rusttribe totally went there with a not-so-nice review comparing the Chelsea to the "pretty girl from high school":
Well, it's very nice to look at, nice to spend the night with, but once you get to know it better, you realize there's not much underneath the surface, and isn't worth another chance!
Right then. So is it all smoke and sexy mirrors or is the Chelsea a legit good boutique hotel? We're inclined to choose the latter -- but if you stay there soon, write in and let us know your thoughts.
